How we make it
Bone a twelve-panel corset. Encrust the bodice in crystal and silk appliqué until it reads as architecture. Set a mermaid that holds through the knee, then explode the mikado into a cathedral train with horsehair so the lanes stand. Veil is a wired tulle spire, not a soft puff. Opera gloves in self silk. This is a wedding gown built like a building.
